Gear pump for rubber

Due to recent demands for quality, accuracy and yield improvement, gear pumps are becoming indispensable in the field of rubber product manufacturing such as supply to calender rolls, heating, profile extrusion, tube/hose extrusion, and pre-forming.

Mitsuba was one of the first to recognize the need for gear pumps, and has been selling rubber gear pumps originally developed since 2007.

We have a lineup of 18 models from low discharge to large discharge so that they can be used for various purposes.

In addition, based on our many years of sales performance, we are also working on improving cleaning and maintenance with reference to customer needs.

Features

1. Abundant line-up

We have a line-up of total 18 models, 9 models each of standard pressure type and high-pressure type.

We will propose the most suitable model according to the extrusion amount and application.

2. Bearings and seal ring

In the standard machine, the rubber material itself leaks from the bearing and play a role as a lubricant. If the type of rubber is sticky and difficult to clean, structure of bearing and seal ring can be changed to return the rubber from the outlet side to inlet side as an option.

3. Abrasion-resistant treatment

Since the rubber itself acts as a lubricant, there is a concern that the gear shaft, bearings and seal ring, and housing may wear depending on type of rubber and amount of filler.

Abrasion resistant type with special coating is available as an option.

4. Maintainability

The standard type has an integrated structure of the white and blue parts in the figure. There is also a three-piece type in which the blue part in the center, which is heavily worn by the metal touch of the gear and the contact with the rubber, is divided. This makes maintenance easier and reduces the cost of consumables. (Option)

1)Gear Pump with RMR (Rolling Mill Roll)

If heating or kneading are not needed such as putting the rubber kneaded by calender roll into the gear pump directly in hot feed state, there is also a rolling mill roll that puts the rubber into the gear pump with two rolls instead of the extruder.

Since it doesn't use the extruder, it has advantages such as space saving, energy saving and material saving.

The hydraulic opening/closing mechanism between the gear pump and RMR is available as an option. It is useful for improving cleaning and maintenance work of the larger gear pump.

2)Extruder with gear pump

Since the rubber extruder performs the functions of transporting, heating, kneading, and weighing with screws, it was inevitable that the rubber temperature would rise due to pressure rising in the measuring section.

A rubber extruder with a gear pump is an optimal combination that takes advantage of both the weighing function of a gear pump that does not require pressure rising and the extruder's features of transfer, heat heating, and kneading.

When using cold feed materials that are below the outside temperature and require heating or kneading, the extruder with gear pump is recommended for extruding tubes and sheets.

3) Combination with conical feeder

When you put the rubber material after kneading by roll or the material which is difficult to make into ribbons, it is very effective for straining in combination with conical feeder with wide opening or for performer before pressing which requires high weight accuracy.
