Rubber & Plastic Extrusion Machinery Group
Announcement Mitsuba has become the exclusive sales agent in Japan for
the Extrusion Machinery division of KraussMaffei.

In February this year, our company signed an exclusive agency agreement
with KraussMaffei Berstorff, the extrusion machinery division of KraussMaffei.
Traditionally, the plastics processing machinery division of KraussMaffei
consisted of the three groups, injection molding, polyurethane processing,
and extrusion technology, and when the company formerly called Hermann
Berstorff joined KraussMaffei in 1994, the rubber processing machinery
group and resin compounding group of Hermann Berstorff were added to the
extrusion machinery division of KraussMaffei, which brought their total
global revenue to 86 billion yen (1$=90yen), with a worldwide presence
of 4,000 employees at 12 factories, 38 sales locations, and over 100 agency
organizations, the company became an undisputed leader as one of the largest
polymer processing machinery manufacturers in the whole world.
Since signing our first technical agreement for single screw vent type rubber extruders with the former Hermann Berstorff in 1975, our company has successfully completed one licensing agreement after another for pin extruders, pin-convert extruders, and gear pumps for rubber. Because of the confidence and trust bestowed upon us through many decades of such accomplishments with Berstorff, we were selected as the exclusive agent in Japan covering the whole range of rubber & plastic extruders and downstream equipment made by KraussMaffei-Berstorff. As the sole sales agent, Mitsuba will be handling the entire product lineup in the extrusion field from multilayer extruders for the manufacture of tire parts (MULTIPLEX system), rubber roll machines (COVERMATIC series), and other rubber extrusion equipment from their rubber group, to their twin-screw extruders for compounding, twin-screw extruders for profiles, variable pipe diameter devices ("QuickSwitch" system), and other plastics forming as well as downstream machinery from their plastics group.
We will continue with our efforts to develop and supply products that meet your expectations with the additional capabilities resulting from this development.

- Sheet extrusion line using the "PlanetCalender"
- Variable pipe diameter device ("QuickSwitch" system)
- Plastic pipe extrusion line
- Twin-screw extruders for profile extrusion (profile extrusion lines for
window frames, etc.)
and more.
It should be noted that injection molding devices are not part of the recent agreement.
Additionally, the polyurethane forming group of KraussMaffei has their own direct sales organization in Japan.
