We accepted an internship student from the Mechanical Engineering Department of Ueda Chikuma High School.

Our company will hold a two-day event on October 26th and 27th, Ueda Chikuma High School Department of Mechanical Engineering We held a “Career Development Lecture” (internship) in support of the “Monozukuri Studies Career Development Lecture” curriculum for second-year students at Ueda Chikuma High School, and accepted four students, continuing on from last year.

The internship program consisted of a company information session, a tour of the factory, and then a 3D machine design session, followed by hands-on experience of the parts machining and machine assembly processes at the factory.

As they had studied “mechanical engineering” at school, they seemed to be familiar with design and manufacturing work, and gave us the following comments after the workshop.

The speed was faster than the CAD at the school, and the operation methods were different, but I was able to draw the drawings well.”
I was amazed at how accurate the 3D measuring machine was.”
I thought it was a great company because they do everything in-house, from design to machining and assembly.”
I was surprised at the scale of the machine, which was totally different from the NC machines at the school. I learned a lot from the detailed instruction on the machine.”
I was allowed to do some simple metalworking and polishing. It was fun to see the surface become shiny. The person in charge was very kind to me.”
